Position Summary:
The role of the Operational Resources Analyst is to handle multiple projects in support of the Flight, Inflight, and SOC areas of Flight Operations with a high degree of initiative, follow-through, organization, and confidentiality.
Job Functions
- Responsible for multifaceted data analysis to measure effectiveness of training for new hire and recurrent programs.
- Develop and implement efficiency tracking for pilot training events to ensure best use of resources and recommend changes based on data.
- Acquire data from data sources and maintain databases/data systems. Use data to assist in analyzing and interpreting trends for process improvement opportunities.
- Manages the pilot/flight attendant reliability policy tracking and notification process to minimize impact of sick calls on operational performance while maintaining sensitivity to crew member legal leave protections.
- Backup for initiation and maintenance of accounts in the Flight and Customer Service-Learning Management System cohort lists and test availability for new hires and instructor review.
- Manages multiple databases where crew member data resides to meet legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements. Generates and audits related reports.
- Technical expertise regarding data models, data mining and segmentation techniques.
- Creates reports, analyzes data, and distributes reports as needed.
- Backup for multiple positions within the Flight Admin Group to even out workload and maintain timely workflows.
- Backup ACARS programming
- Adherence to all Company policies and procedures.
- Works independently with minimal supervision. Receives assignments and advice from immediate supervisor. Follows established methods and procedures while recommending improvements. Refers exceptions to supervisor.
- Judgment and initiative necessary in setting priorities to meet deadlines and deal with non-standard situations.
- Considerable judgment used in pairing and line construction to maximize utilization of resources, minimize cost, and ensure the product translates well to the “Day of Operations” environment.
- Frequent telephone and personal contact with co-workers, union representatives, vendors and crewmembers.
Education & Experience:
- Associates degree required, Aviation Management preferred
- One to three years of experience working in a high-volume office environment required
- Proficiency in MS Office Products specifically advanced Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills and grammar to ensure a smooth flow of written and oral communication is achieved
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting
- Demonstrated ability to be accountable for deadlines
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgement
- Ability to maintain information confidentiality
- Strong ability to work in a team environment and to help others assimilate into the team.
- Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement environment, preferred
