Job Summary:
This role is responsible for supporting the production scheduler in acquiring materials, supplies, and services for the organization. This role involves maintaining inventory levels, processing purchase orders, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing in accordance with company policies. This role also supports production with inventory control and work order management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Release and manage production work orders, ensuring accurate documentation and routing.
- Create and process purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
- Communicate with vendors to confirm pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory in the purchasing system.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels and investigate any discrepancies.
- Resolve order issues, such as damaged goods, discrepancies, or late shipments.
- Assist in evaluating supplier performance and maintaining vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with internal departments to determine purchasing needs and specifications.
- Support invoice reconciliation and liaise with accounting for payment processing.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and applicable regulations.
- Maintain accurate data in ERP or MRP systems
- Other duties as required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
