Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HVAC Safety Coordinator to oversee and enforce safety standards across all HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair operations. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and industry best practices to maintain a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain HVAC-specific safety programs and procedures
- Conduct regular job site safety inspections and audits
- Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local safety regulations
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions
- Investigate workplace incidents and prepare detailed reports
- Maintain safety records, logs, and documentation
- Monitor use of PPE and enforce safety protocols
- Collaborate with project managers and field technicians to promote a safety-first culture
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of safety experience in construction, HVAC, or a related trade
- Hands-on experience with HVAC job site operations is a strong advantage
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Preferred Certifications
- OSHA 30 (required) / OSHA 500 (preferred)
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
