Job Description:
Air & Ground is an aviation parts stocking provider, specialising in delivering tailored aviation supply chain solutions. As we continue to grow our small US operations, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Manager to join our team in Dania Beach, Florida and drive operational success.
As the Warehouse Manager, you will take full ownership of our local parts stocking and warehouse operations, ensuring seamless, efficient, and cost-effective processes. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will manage a small team of two, optimise daily warehouse activities, and work closely with key stakeholders to meet customer demands and achieve company objectives. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead the logistics department to effectively manage the flow of goods, resources, and critical documentation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operations & Parts Stocking: Plan, control, and oversee daily department activities, including the accurate receipt, processing, and inventory management of bulk deliveries, sales orders, stock picks, and pull requests, in total 200-275 transactions per month.
- Parts & Documentation Management: Maintain accurate product data and records, including data sheets, log cards, and airworthiness documentation to support parts stocking and stock availability.
- Shipping & Distribution: Prepare and coordinate accurate documentation for the shipment of goods, managing the secure movement of products and materials in and out of the company facility.
- Team Leadership: Lead, manage, motivate, and develop warehouse staff, ensuring high productivity, maintaining morale, and undertaking disciplinary or grievance activities as appropriate.
- Quality & Controls: Ensure strict adherence to the company's Quality Management System; continuously review, update, and enforce internal quality procedures and controls.
- Health, Safety & Assets: Manage daily Health and Safety responsibilities in line with US law, ensuring the safe use of all Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) and proper utilisation of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Tracking & Facility Management: Utilise the Receipt & Dispatch Log to record all moves and parts shipped; maintain warehouse storage media, handle non-conformances, and keep housekeeping logs up to date.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Maintain a daily liaison with the Management Team and communicate effectively with internal departments to align warehouse goals with wider business growth.
- Facility Upkeep: Contribute to strict housekeeping regimes, ensuring aisles are clear, packing and inspection areas are cleared daily, and trash is properly managed.
- Client & Visitor Relations: Deliver high-quality customer service, answering telephones and greeting visitors or contractors professionally.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar warehousing and distribution role.
- Specialist Knowledge: Strong background in Logistics Operations and current knowledge of warehouse management.
- Key Attributes: Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills, combined with a methodical, consistent, and flexible approach to tasks.
- Personal Skills: Must be self-motivating, results-orientated, resilient, confident, and an excellent communicator.
- Physical Fitness: A fair to good level of physical fitness suitable for a warehouse environment.
Desirable Criteria:
- Industry Experience: A military background, engineering knowledge, or specific experience handling Aerospace and Military Spares.
- ERP Quantum or similar: Quantum is highly preferred.
- Qualifications: RTITB/Lift Truck Operator Licence, Company Manual Handling training, Fire Marshall, First Aider, or a formal Management Qualification.
- Logistics Certification: Knowledge or certification in Dangerous Goods Movements by Sea, Land, and Air.
- Mobility: Possession of a valid Driving Licence and a willingness to be mobile.
