Air General, a third-generation, family-owned, national cargo handling company, is seeking a full-time Warehouse Supervisor for its Memphis International Airport (MEM) operation.

Required skills include: proven leadership skills, customer service, and air cargo experience. Must be able to work in the cargo operation on behalf of the airlines that we are contracted with, work with station management to oversee day to day operations, and to lead the team to achieve successful performance.

Responsibilities

• Organize, coordinate, and assist with all contract handling services
• Ensure all procedures are followed
• Ensure that handling services do not adversely affect the safe and punctual operation of the customers flight services
• Supervise the operation, motivate and direct the staff as required
• Assist the manager to ensure all customer targets are achieved or exceeded
• Ensure all safety standards are adhered to and all security procedures are complied with
• Implement and oversee directives and procedures, which will enhance service levels to the customer
• Meet regularly with the manager to establish constant feedback and action plan for any improvements in service handling
  
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required - college degree preferred or equivalent industry experience
• 2 years of continuous warehouse experience
• 2 years of Supervisor experience
• Must be able to obtain a valid airport SIDA badge
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a valid and unexpired US Driver’s license
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Candidates must possess some intermediate computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office programs
• Must be able to clearly understand and communicate in English when performing essential job functions
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings, background checks, and airport/government security background checks, applicable Custom Security Seal, and post offer drug screens
• Be available to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to handle stress in a fast-paced, high-noise environment, and meet deadlines
• Some travel may be required for airline specific training
