REQUIREMENTS: The primary purpose of this position is: to accomplish the operation, overhaul, and maintenance of the five Wastewater Treatment Plants and to ensure compliance with Georgia Environmental Protection Department. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1. Knowledge of wide range of principles, processes and techniques of wastewater treatment. 2. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. 3. Knowledge of the use and maintenance of hand and power tools, equipment, and precision measuring and/or test equipment common to the trade. 4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints diagrams, sketches, and technical specifications. 5. Ability to plan and organize work assigned to include determining resources required to accomplish mission. 6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Skills and Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of wide range of principles, processes, and techniques of Wastewater Treatment operations. Must be able to determine how far major components should be tom down, which parts should be repaired, and which one replaced, and the type and extent of adjustment and alignment required. Must have ability to interpret and apply manufactures' repair manuals, engineering drawings, safety manuals and other guides. Must have skill in using hand and power tools common to the trade.
