The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a TERM, Cybersecurity Management Specialist. GG-2210-12 at Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, Nebraska.
This is a Temporary position Not to Exceed 3 years; current Federal civilian employees may apply, and if selected, a break in service of at least 3 calendar days may be required prior to appointment to this position.

Salary Range: $ 90,402 – $117,525 (based on experience).
Requirements To Be Considered
This is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) Personnel System position aligned under authorities of Section 1599f, of Title 10, Chapter 81 United States Code and DOD Instruction 1400.25-V3007.
Required 3-year probationary period for new Federal government appointments.
CES applies and documents Veterans’ Preference IAW Department of Defense (DoDI) 1400.25, Volume 3005.

Qualifications/Requirements
The primary purpose of this position: To serve as an information technology cybersecurity program management specialist in planning, analysis, acquisition, design, development, implementation, quality assurance, configuration, integration, and resource management of IT network systems to meet the business requirement of the Command. The system owner is the individual responsible for the procurement, development, integration, modification, operation, and maintenance of an information system on USSTRATCOM networks.
For those who enjoy leadership, strategy, and seeing the “big picture”, this system owner role will offer unique rewards. You will be the “Captain of the Ship,” having final say on how the system is built, funded, and deployed to support the warfighter. You won’t just be managing “an app”, you will be managing a capability that is vital to national security and NC3 operations. Your leadership will enable the technological superiority of USSTRATCOM.
U.S. Citizenships Required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Clearance.
Drug Testing: This is a designated Drug Testing Position.
Knowledge of IT principles and cybersecurity with expertise in IT systems analysis, emerging technologies, and security methods to ensure compliance and protection of information assets.
Knowledge of network systems design and maintenance having proficiency in LAN/WAN design principles, methodologies, and approaches for developing, testing, operating, and maintaining network services that support functional requirements.
Knowledge of project and acquisition management and understanding of project management concepts, procurement techniques, life cycle management, cost-benefit analysis, and coordination requirements for IT systems acquisition and implementation.
Knowledge of system analysis and integration with the ability to analyze existing systems, develop specifications, integrate subsystems, and ensure compatibility and efficiency within the IT infrastructure.
Knowledge of configuration management and troubleshooting with expertise in complex configuration management techniques, troubleshooting network problems, and ensuring operability and efficiency of IT systems.
Ability to stay current with technologic advances and maintain awareness of technological advancements, evaluate their impact on organizational missions, and apply innovative solutions to meet future requirements.
Cyberspace Qualification is a condition of employment. This position includes Cyberspace work as a paramount duty requirement. Per DoDM 8140.03, para 4.2.a.(2)., requires foundational qualification requirements within 9 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role and resident qualification requirements within 12 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role.
