The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a full-time Senior Technical Advisor, (NH-0301-04) to work at the Joint Center for Electromagnetic Readiness on Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, NV.

The Air Force is seeking an individual with expert knowledge of joint war fighting doctrine, joint combatant command structures, missions, functions, goals, objectives, work processes, and sources of resources pertinent to joint electromagnetic spectrum operations (JEMSO) programs, organizations, assessments, training, operational employment, and tactic, technique, and procedure (TTP) development.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret w/ SCI clearance. Position is designated special-sensitive and requires a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
• This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. It is required that you (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and (b) if requested, submit to urinalysis testing.

• May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
• Expert knowledge of a wide range of electromagnetic spectrum operations (EMSO) theories, concepts, principles, practices, procedures, policies, standards, operational requirements, as well as of operational and performance characteristics.
• Skill in designing, conducting, and leading comprehensive qualitative and/or quantitative studies; in preparing solutions to resolve major problems/issues of effectiveness and efficiency of work operations; and in developing and presenting analytical insights, results, and conclusions.
• Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments/technical functions to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources, to execute projects and/or studies within established time constraints, and to lead large, complex projects and/or study teams tasked to originate new ideas, concepts, and methodologies.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; to negotiate highly complex and/or sensitive issues where proposals involve substantial resources and/or require extensive changes in established concepts and procedures; and to maintain good working relationships with senior leaders and officials.
