This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position aligned under authorities of Section 1601, Chapter 83 of Title 10, United States Code and DoD Instruction 1400.25-V2007.
Salary ($145,807.00 - $195,200) based on experience.
Relocation expenses may be paid.
Recruitment incentive of up to 25% of salary may be available based on experience.

The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a Senior Interactive On-Net Operator authority, providing US Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) Cyber Mission Forces and perform exploitation operations of foreign adversary computer networks. Provides professional and computer expertise in performance of work requiring knowledge and application of computer infrastructure, modeling/simulation, and or other computer information technology. Apply expert cyber knowledge in conducting network reconnaissance and vulnerability analyses to map networks, identify strong points, vulnerabilities among network segments, and develop plans and strategies for the application of cyber capabilities. Developing exploitation opportunities and maintaining situational awareness of ongoing network operations. Executing computer network operations against foreign adversaries' information systems and networks to support the Air Force’s mission objectives.
Qualifications/Requirements
- U.S. Citizenships Required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Clearance.
- Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
- Incumbent shall be subject to a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
- Extensive knowledge of the national intelligence community, as well as extensive knowledge of the full range of USCYBERCOM, NSA/CSS, and allied military DNI and CNO disciplines, methodologies, exploitation methods, techniques, and practices, and plans using multi-source intelligence information to capture and report intelligence information in a usable form that directly or indirectly affects national security; interprets policy and commits resources impacting CNO.
- Extensive knowledge of the technology of NSA/CSS Texas operational systems capabilities, limitations, associated resources, and tasking. Comprehensive knowledge of the NSA/CSSS Texas target AOR is required.
- Professional knowledge and mastery of a broad range of computers, cyberspace, statistical analysis, procedures, and knowledge of technology related to computers and digital networks computer networking an ability to train others in the technology is required.
- Ability to analyze a variety of unusual telecommunications conditions, problems, questions, or conditions associated with formulating projects or studies to substantially alter major telecommunications systems (e.g., systems compatibility, circuits, switches, distribution, satellite linkages, networking, and airborne intelligence sensors).
- Information Assurance Certification is a condition of employment. This position includes information assurance (IA) work as an additional duty requirement. Must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties.
- The employee may be recalled to duty, may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, and may be required to work overtime.
- Work will require infrequent short-term CONUS or OCONUS travel away from the normal duty station. The employee is subject to short notice TDY deployment to meet worldwide operational mission requirements. Employee must be able to complete all pre-deployment training required for the theater of operations. This may include nuclear, chemical, and biological defense training and travel by military air.
- Completion of the Joint Cyber Analysis Course (JCAC) is highly desirable.
- Position is highly technical and requires incumbent to complete Cyber Mission Force (CMF) training specified in the USCYBERCOM Cyber Mission Forces Training and Readiness Manual.
