What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Specialist, Operations and Integration, SLD 45 / AATS position at Air Force Civilian Service?
The United States Space Force (USSF) at Patrick SFB, FL is searching for a Security Specialist for Operations and Integration to support SLD45/AATS (NH-0080-03, GS 12/13 equivalent). Description: Serve as a security specialist providing expert technical advice in the complex area of acquisition and operations security for National Security Space Launch (NSSL); classification management program; security violations; security education and awareness training; and security surveys and special programs security inspections for assigned programs. Ideal Candidate: Demonstrated expert experience/knowledge of program protection, physical, system, information, industrial, personnel, operations security concepts, principles, and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas. Comprehensive knowledge of organization's missions, functions, and structure to ensure effective implementation of oversight of special programs security concepts, principles and practices. Knowledge of government contractual practices and requirements for development and purchase of USAF acquisition programs and/or supporting programs/projects. Must be familiar with Defense Industrial Base security organization, operations, and management practices. Key Skills and Abilities: 1. Expert knowledge of program protection, physical, system, information, industrial, personnel, operations security concepts, principles, and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas. 2. Comprehensive knowledge of organization's missions, functions, and structure to ensure effective implementation of oversight of special programs security concepts, principles and practices. 3. Knowledge of government contractual practices and requirements for development and purchase of USAF acquisition programs and/or supporting programs/projects. Must be familiar with Defense Industrial Base security organization, operations, and management practices. 4. Ability in developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the Delta Commander. 5. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. 6. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately. Requirements: 1. Must be a U.S Citizen. 2. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret /SCI security clearance. 3. This position has been designated for drug testing. Incumbent is subject to random urinalysis testing as a condition of employment. 4. Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise 5. Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends and may be subject to recall. Incumbent may be required to report to work during base exercises, contingencies, or emergency situations and overtime/comp time/credit hours may be required to accomplish assigned duties 6. Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M 7. Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”. 8. Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 15 days per year. 9. PCS is not authorized. Incentive is not authorized. 10. This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.
