The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Aircraft Mechanic (WG-8852-05 target 10) to work at Warner Robins Air Logistic Complex (WR-ALC) Robins Air Force Base, Warner Robins, Georgia. This federal job offers a rewarding and exciting career with benefits.

Qualification Summary

The primary purpose of this position is: To install, adjust, align, troubleshoot, and perform final functional and operational tests on a variety of major aircraft systems, their assembles, and components such as airframe, landing gear, power plant, gear boxes, pumps, and hydraulic, pressurization, utility, fuel, oil, pneumatic, and flight control systems.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Designated Drug Testing Position
  • Must pass pre-employment physical

KSA’s

  • 1. Knowledge of the makeup, operation, installation, and adjustment of a variety of major interrelated and/or integrated aircraft systems, subsystems, and assemblies such as fuel and hydraulic systems, flight control systems, instrumentation systems, engines, landing gear assemblies, airframe, and control surfaces.
  • 2. Knowledge of a wide variety of parts, components, subsystems, and assemblies such as ejection seats, nuclear shielding, or similar self-contained systems.
  • 3. Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures.
  • 4. Skill in the use of standard and specialized tools and test equipment including fixtures, templates, scales, test stands, and external power sources.
