Responsibilities
- Perform detailed cleaning of kitchen exhaust systems using industrial cleaning equipment, pressure washers, and hand tools
- Safely operate ladders and scaffolding to access high or hard-to-reach areas of ductwork and ventilation systems
- Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, goggles, and safety harnesses to ensure safety during all tasks
- Conduct manual handling of heavy equipment and materials, including lifting and moving duct components or cleaning supplies
- Apply industry-standard safety protocols, including the use of fire extinguishers and adherence to OSHA regulations
- Complete thorough inspections of exhaust systems post-cleaning to verify cleanliness and compliance with safety standards
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about work progress and safety procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial or commercial cleaning environments, particularly duct or kitchen exhaust cleaning preferred
- Ability to use ladders safely and comfortably at various heights
- Familiarity with hand tools, pressure washing equipment, and specialized cleaning devices
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, manual handling, PPE use, and fire safety equipment
- Outdoor work experience is advantageous due to the nature of the job site environments
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness during cleaning tasks
- Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, climbing ladders, and outdoor activity
- Good communication skills for interacting professionally with clients and team members
