Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct plumbing and refrigeration repairs as needed, including ammonia refrigeration systems for specialized applications.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to repair electrical components and mechanical parts of HVAC systems.
- Document all service activities thoroughly, including detailed reports on repairs performed, parts used, and system conditions.
- Operate a
driver vehicle safely when transporting equipment or materials between sites.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in construction or property maintenance environments.
- Proven service technician experience with field service capabilities across diverse HVAC systems.
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC system layouts effectively.
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles, including air conditioning, ventilation, heating systems, and boiler operation.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems, refrigeration technology (including ammonia refrigeration), and appliance repair techniques.
- Experience with equipment repair using various tools such as ohmmeters and welding apparatus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating a
driver vehicle preferred.
