Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, experience with HVAC/R systems, and the ability to interpret schematics and design plans. The technician will ensure optimal operation of heating and cooling equipment, contribute to property maintenance, and provide exceptional field service. A valid driver’s license is required for travel between job sites.
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and ammonia refrigeration equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans for proper installation and repair procedures.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems such as pipe fitting and drainage connections.
- Repair or replace mechanical components using tools provided.
- Diagnose electrical issues with HVAC units utilizing electrical testing devices.
- Maintain detailed service records and document repairs performed.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC and mechanical systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during all service activities.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related mechanical fields.
- Construction background or property maintenance experience
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and equipment repair techniques.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems
- Mechanical knowledge related to appliances, boilers, brazing, and general equipment repair
- Field service experience involving air conditioning systems, condensate, furnaces and basic HVAC/R systems
- Experience working with HVAC/R systems or boiler maintenance is beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license is required for travel between sites.
