About the Internship
The Inside Sales Summer Internship provides hands-on exposure to the full sales process while introducing interns to multiple areas of the business. This program is designed to help students build foundational sales skills, understand industrial equipment and systems, and explore different career paths within a growing organization.
What You’ll Learn
During the internship, you will gain experience in:
- The 5-step ACS sales process
- Building customer relationships and establishing trust
- Qualifying and disqualifying leads
- Asking effective discovery questions
- Managing leads, opportunities, and cases in Salesforce
- Understanding industrial machines and system components
- Coordinating with account managers and internal teams
- Supporting account touchpoints and learning contact cycles
Key Responsibilities
Interns will actively contribute to sales and operational initiatives, including:
- Making outbound calls to prospective customers
- Supporting the Inside Sales lead queue
- Conducting data cleanup and enrichment in Salesforce
- Using Apollo to locate accurate contact information and research companies
- Entering opportunities, cases, and customer information in Salesforce
- Supporting order accuracy projects (such as NET30 purchase orders)
- Identifying areas where processes or responsiveness could improve within the Inside Sales team
Rotational Learning Experience
Interns will spend time learning how different departments support the sales process through short rotations, including:
- Warehouse Operations
- Customer/Sales Support
- Purchasing
- Service
- Revenue Operations (RevOps)
