Job Responsibilities:
- Answers mortgage servicing hotline. Returns or forwards member inquiry calls as appropriate. Research and answers member inquiries regarding mortgage payments, balances, escrow management, servicing releases.
- Responsible for putting together the credit package to send to the investor and/or sub-servicer and ensures that the loan files are completed.
- Follow-up with investors ensuring all final purchase conditions have been met and clear conditions on suspended files with investors by due date to avoid penalties.
- Submits VA and FHA files for insuring according to applicable guidelines
- Responsible for transmitting upfront MIP and funding fees for FHA and VA loans respectively in a timely manner to avoid late fees and reconciling with accounting.
- Ensures MI is activated in a timely manner.
- If first payments come to us, tracks, and collects the payments from borrowers and if MIP is collected, ensures that the premium is forwarded to the mortgage insurance company.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- The ability to communicate effectively with internal and external audiences through both verbal and written communication.
- One year experience in mortgage loans is preferred.
- Able to multi-task and perform assignments in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with impeccable attention to detail.
Pay Information:
The pay ranges represent the low and high end of the base salary range for this position.
Grade Value 900: $22.50 - $30.40
