A well-established regional law firm with a strong litigation practice is seeking an experienced Asbestos & Toxic Tort Litigation Attorney to join its Baton Rouge office. The firm represents national corporations, insurers, and industrial companies in complex litigation matters across a variety of industries.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The firm is seeking an attorney with 7 years of litigation experience with a primary focus on asbestos litigation, toxic tort defense, and products liability matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and executing litigation strategies and managing complex exposure-related claims involving multiple parties and technical evidence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all phases of asbestos and toxic tort litigation from initial evaluation through trial preparation
- Develop litigation strategies for complex exposure and occupational disease claims
- Conduct depositions, hearings, and motion practice
- Coordinate discovery efforts and manage large volumes of technical and operational evidence
- Work with expert witnesses and consultants in scientific and industrial disciplines
- Collaborate with national counsel, insurers, and corporate legal teams on case strategy
- Provide clear and strategic updates to clients and stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 7 years of defense litigation experience in asbestos or toxic tort matters
- Experience representing corporate defendants in occupational exposure claims, including asbestos, chemical exposure, and product liability cases
- Strong background in complex, multi-party and multi-district litigation
- Demonstrated ability to manage discovery, expert development, and technical evidence
- Experience handling depositions, hearings, and motion practice independently
- Excellent analytical, research, and advocacy skills
