Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Clinical Nurse Specialist based in Tampa, FL, with flexibility for partial remote work. The Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide advanced clinical expertise, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support the implementation of infection prevention measures.
A key component of this role involves educating clinical staff and patients on the use of the TempShield device across multiple clinic locations throughout the Tampa Bay area. The CNS will serve as a subject matter expert on TempShield technology — driving adoption, supporting onboarding at each site, and ensuring staff are confident and competent in its use.
Additional responsibilities include:
● Assessing clinical practices and identifying opportunities for improvement
● Providing education and training to staff, including hands-on TempShield device onboarding at multiple clinic sites
● Assisting with the development of evidence-based care protocols
● Supporting implementation of infection prevention measures
● Documentation and data analysis to ensure optimal patient outcomes
TEMPSHIELD DEVICE EDUCATION — TAMPA BAY CLINICS
This role plays a central part in AION's multi-site rollout across the Tampa Bay area. The CNS will work directly with clinic teams to:
● Deliver structured onboarding sessions for clinical staff at each participating site
● Develop and maintain site-specific education materials tailored to clinic workflows
● Serve as the primary point of contact for device-related questions and troubleshooting during rollout
● Track staff competency and engagement across sites; escalate gaps to the clinical lead
● Coordinate scheduling and logistics for in-clinic education visits across multiple Tampa Bay locations
● Collaborate with the Patient Engagement Coordinator and AION clinical team to ensure a consistent patient and staff experience
Travel between clinic sites within the Tampa Bay area is required. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are expected.
QUALIFICAIONS
● Advanced clinical expertise in nursing, including patient assessment and infection prevention
● Experience with clinical education, staff training, and developing care protocols
● Proficiency in evidence-based practice and data analysis
● Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
● Ability to work effectively in a hybrid role, balancing on-site and remote responsibilities
● Experience educating staff on medical devices or digital health technology is a strong plus
● Comfort operating across multiple clinic sites and adapting communication style to varied teams
● BSN in Nursing required; MSN or CNS certification preferred
● Experience in infectious disease control, oncology, or related areas is highly desirable
