What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welding Inspector position at Aimic Inc?
- Perform visual inspections of structural steel fabrication, welding, and bolting in accordance with AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) standards.
- Conduct material identification, verification, and sampling of unidentified steel.
- Prepare detailed reports and related documentation following best engineering practices and applicable building codes.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and within established timelines.
- Follow and promote safe working practices at all times.
Preferred Certifications
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
- ICC Structural Steel & Welding Special Inspector and ICC Structural Steel & Bolting Special Inspector certifications are highly desirable.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of welding inspection experience preferred.
- Current and active CWI and ICC certifications in good standing.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for completing reports using company templates.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to work on ladders and scaffolding at construction sites.
- English language proficiency (speaking, reading, and writing) required.
Salary : $35 - $40
