What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool And Die Maker (Aerospace) position at Aimic Inc?
Position Summary:
Candidates must be able to set up and operate key machining equipment, including drills, conventional mills, conventional lathes, and surface grinders. Experience with OD grinders, honing machines, and CNC equipment is a plus. Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints and drawings, accurately reporting quality and quantity of work performed, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
Daily Tasks:
Read and interpret blueprints/drawings to create tooling; set up and operate major machining equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Basic English reading and math skills. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Familiarity with carbide materials and Mastercam is a plus. Knowledge of EDM is also a plus.
Reporting Relationships:
Reports to the Tooling Supervisor and/or Plant Manager.
Working Conditions:
Primarily standing. Frequently handling parts weighing less than 20 lbs., occasionally up to 40 lbs.
Success Factors:
Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Strong communication skills are a plus.
Position Requirements:
Full-time position only. 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday. Overtime may be required based on production needs. Regular attendance is an essential job function.
