Position Overview – 3D Piping Designer
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled 3D Piping Designer to support both manufacturing and field service operations. In this role, you will create and revise piping designs, ensuring all materials, equipment specifications, and technical information are accurate and available for project execution. You will play a key role in meeting customer requirements while safeguarding the company’s best interests.
What You’ll Do
- Develop comprehensive 3D plant models
- Produce main assembly drawings and detailed drawings derived from assemblies
- Create and update technical routing documents and information sheets
- Prepare and revise bills of materials (BOMs)
- Collaborate with manufacturing and field teams to ensure design accuracy and project alignment
Expertise In
- 3D piping design for stainless steel equipment
- AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D, Inventor, or SolidWorks
- Reading and interpreting Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Stainless steel tank design (1–3 years)
- AutoCAD piping design; BPE experience preferred but not required
- MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Working independently and within team-directed environments
Qualifications
Required:
- 1–3 years of experience in stainless-steel tank design
- 1–3 years of recent experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D, Inventor, or SolidWorks
- Strong understanding of P&IDs
- Solid work ethic and ability to follow direction
Optional:
- Associate Degree or Technical School diploma in Mechanical Design/Drafting
