Environmental Health Safety Specialist (EHS)

Job Description:

This is a full-time on-site role for an Environmental Health Safety Specialist, located in Milwaukee, WI. The Environmental Health Safety Specialist will be responsible for implementing and managing workplace safety programs, ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations, conducting safety training sessions, and fostering a culture of health and safety throughout the organization. The role will involve collaborating with various teams to identify safety risks, improve processes, and address occupational health concerns.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and occupational health practices
• Experience in workplace safety assessments and implementing safety policies
• Proficiency in conducting safety training and educating employees on health and safety standards
• Ability to identify and address potential risks to ensure a safe working environment
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Familiarity with relevant local, state, and federal safety regulations
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field is preferred
• Professional certifications, such as OSHA certification or relevant EHS credentials, are a plus
