What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Mechanic position at Aimic Inc?
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and air brake systems across our fleet -bucket trucks, chip trucks, cranes, pickups, and trailers.
- Work on the heavy iron: Bandit/Vermeer/Morbark chippers, stump grinders, mini excavators, loaders, and other major pieces of equipment.
- Weld, fabricate, and improvise when a repair calls for it.
- Run our PM program and keep service records clean.
- Handle field service calls when a truck goes down on a job.
Skills
- Solid medium/heavy-duty diesel experience - engine, drivetrain, hydraulics, electrical.
- Comfortable with OEM diagnostic software (CAT ET, Cummins Insite, JPRO, Allison DOC).
- Can read schematics and chase down electrical issues on 12V and 24V systems.
- MIG and stick welding, torch work a plus.
- CDL Class B preferred, or willing to earn one.
- Your own hand tools; we supply the specialty tools, air tools, and shop equipment.
Salary : $85,000 - $100,000
