Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and operate departmental machinery to produce parts to spec
- Keep machinery running smoothly and make minor repairs to machine tools as needed
- Swap out old tooling and install new tooling
- Use gauges (such as plug gauges) to check parts against quality standards
- Read and work from blueprints
- Follow safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards
- Suggest process improvements as you learn the operation
- As you grow into the role, help train and support other team members
- High school or trade school diploma, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Solid math skills
- Ability to read blueprints
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Good communication skills
- Comfort working with precision gauges
