Role: General Close Accountant

Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 10% Bonus Eligible
AimHire is partnering with a newly formed, fast-growing SaaS company to hire a General Close Accountant. Backed by a private equity firm and headquartered in Downtown Denver, this company operates on a global scale with employees across the U.S., UK, India, and Ireland. This direct-hire opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to grow their accounting career in a high-impact role within a mission-driven and compliance-focused organization.
As the General Close Accountant, you’ll play a key role in supporting financial close processes, managing accounts payable, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting. This is a hybrid position (3 days in-office) offering exposure to global operations and the opportunity to help shape financial processes at a scaling company.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute month-end and year-end close processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage accounts payable operations including vendor invoice processing, payment scheduling, and maintaining vendor relationships.
- Ensure accurate expense coding and compliance with internal policies.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Work cross-functionally to support proper revenue recognition and expense allocation.
- Maintain adherence to US GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements in accounting and A/P workflows.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2 years of accounting experience, preferably within a SaaS or tech-driven company.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience with accounts payable systems and processes.
- Proficient in accounting tools (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Team-oriented mindset and a proactive approach.
- Experience with SaaS or subscription-based revenue models is a plus, but not required.
