Available Shift!
- Monday through Friday (6:00 AM -2:00 pm)
Strong background working with individual with Autism and/or Mental Health
Workday with the Participant/Residential Advisor/Direct Care Support (DS):
- Community Integration: Providing transportation in the community, jobs, fun social activities, doctor’s appointment.
- Personal Care: Depending on the participant’s needs, you may have to assist with showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. Making sure the participant maintains good healthy hygiene.
- Building Skills and a positive relationship with the participant: Helping and teaching daily life skills according to their goals to support independence
- Medication Administration: Manage and administer medications.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping (laundry, vacuuming, dishes), meal preparation, and grocery shopping, making sure walkways are cleared/snow/leaves.
- Supervision of residential direct care staff.
- Scheduling and assuring that all shifts are covered.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Navigating through Challenges:
- Participant’s Behavior: Non-Verbal, Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED) Impulsive, Impulse Disorder, Autistic, NeuroDiversion. The requires a person to have patience during unpredictable moments and resilience to have situation with love, kind and compassionate attitude. Following safety protocols and the agency’s policy and making sure the participant is healthy and safe.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Responsible for administering and documenting medication according to the regulations.
- Responsible for reporting incidents or neglect to the supervisor.
- Responsible for attending ISP meetings and following the participants’ individual service plan (ISP). Tracking and documenting the participant’s progress.
- Responsible for making you attend mandatory training and site team meetings.
- Responsible for preparing for site inspections and/or monitoring by County and/or state officials.
- Responsible for making sure the RA/DSP follow ODP regulations, agency policies and procedures. Residential and fiscal regulations are followed within the residential department.
- Responsible for reporting maintenance issues to the Operation Manager.
- Responsible for making sure the petty cash is handled in compliance with the regulations
- Responsible for understanding the 6400 & 3800 regulations.

Qualifications:
The minimum professional qualifications for Residential Advisors are a Associates Degree and/or one year of supervisory experience in Human Service work or High School diploma with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Must be 21 years old or older.
- Autonomy-ability to work without immediate supervision.
- Interpersonal sensitivity (objective awareness of others, tactful interaction, ease in establishing limits.
- Reliability and flexibility
- Insight and the ability to articulate it.
- Strong background in working with Autism behavioral
- Strong background in working with Mental Health
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a van (Employees Only).
- Medication Administration Certification.
- Crisis intervention training (i.e., nonviolent crisis intervention, positive approach, etc.)
- CPR, First Aid.
- Must clear ACT 33, 34 and 73 (criminal clearance).
