The Finance Manager at AIM Institute is responsible for managing the organization's financial health by overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance. This role involves leading the finance team, developing financial strategies, and providing insights to support decision-making processes. The Finance Manager ensures that financial practices align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management regularly.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Compliance and Audit

  • Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor finance staff, fostering professional development.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure team objectives are met.
  • Thorough understanding and adherence to organizational financial policies.

Strategic Financial Management

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop financial strategies.
  • Evaluate financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5–7 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite/GDrive, especially Excel/GSheets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.
  • Experience in nonprofit financial management.
  • Familiarity with grant reporting and compliance requirements, specifically allocation methodology.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
