Duties
- Prepare and set up breakfast stations, ensuring all food items are fresh, appealing, and ready for service
- Assist with food preparation, including basic cooking, slicing, and portioning to meet quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, kitchen stations, and food prep zones through regular cleaning and sanitizing
- Buss tables promptly after guests finish their meals to keep the dining environment tidy and inviting
- Take guest orders accurately using POS systems .
- Serve food and beverages with friendly in-person customer service, addressing guest needs promptly and courteously
- Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining excellent phone etiquette and guest relations
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles such as host/hostess, server, or catering assistant is preferred
- Familiarity with food handling safety protocols and basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
- Experience with beverage preparation, dishwashing, or kitchen tasks like knife skills or meat cutting is advantageous
- Knowledge of restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in order taking and cashiering
- Strong communication skills and a passion for guest services are essential for creating positive guest interactions
- Experience working in hotel or banquet settings can be beneficial but is not required; a willingness to learn is key
