DESCRIPTION
The qualified Training Operations Specialist will be responsible for Handling Chemical & Biological agents in a Training Environment, Performing Duties as a Safety Control and Training Control Operator, Providing Respiratory training and respirator fit testing for staff and visitors, Providing Orientation Training to newly assigned personnel, collecting, reviewing, and reporting fit test data, providing specific training as required, maintaining training records.
DUTIES

NOTE: Some duties require full personal protective equipment and full face respirator wear for extended periods
· Operate Safety Control during regular duty hours
· Provide Orientation & Specific Training as required
· Handle chemical & biological agents for training and as directed.
· Review and keep current; SOPs and work instructions as assigned.
· Perform Quality Control Checks on work within contract statement of work.
· Perform 3X decontamination per SOP
MINIMUM EDUCATION/FORMAL TRAINING:
· 1-2 years experience in Emergency Management, industrial or training related field,
· Ability to obtain DHS clearance. Candidates with existing DOD or other agency clearances will be given preference.
· Preferred depth of knowledge and experience in Federal Facilities in general and at the Center for Domestic Preparedness in particular.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
· Experience Donning Doffing CBRNE PPE including respirator
· Instructor training
· Technical writing experience
· OSHA 1910 General Industry experience
· ISO Quality Management System Experience
· Must be self-motivated and perform duties with minimal supervision
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to collaborate with other site personnel (Government, O&M, Training)
· Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously.
