AIG HR L&D Portfolio Manager
The Portfolio Manager is the owner of a book of content (or portfolio) organized by subject (e.g., Leadership, Managing the Work, Business Fundamentals, Professional Development, DEI, etc) in HR L&D. In this role, the PM is responsible for Content Management, curation of learning content, development and continuous improvement of a portfolio of learning content to support the development of specific skills and capabilities. Content build opportunities will occur from requests from our business or HR partners, talent data and/or results from the surveys of our existing curricula. PMs will work with their peers to prioritize the work across all books of content and will be on point to share status with the originating requestor. When built, the PM will work with their partners to ensure the content is woven across all learning and Programmatic experiences.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring AIG employees have the skills, tools and experiences to drive AIG's drive to be a market-leading company.
Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible end to end for a portfolio of learning content, organized by subject (e.g., Leadership, Professional Skills)
- Consult with AIG business and functional partners on their learning needs, utilizing the HR L&D content where it exists and/or designing additional collateral when necessary.
- Ensure that the execution of the learning experience via self-paced/asynchronous or instructor-led modalities, meet the requirements of the design specifications.
- Lead and work alongside internal and external project teams required to execute on the demand for the book of content. These teams will be comprised of instructional designers, facilitators, learning operations and measurement and business and functional partners. The PM will monitor project team performance and make corrections/enhancements as needed.
- Utilize a variety of feedback mechanisms, including observations during the delivery of the virtual and classroom experiences, along with the measurement data and analysis, to evolve content and ensure continuous improvement, where applicable
- Collaborate on measurements / key performance indicators to assess training effectiveness in terms of impact on business goals, behavior change, and return on investment; monitor and adjust accordingly.
- Create and drive a marketing strategy and communication plan to assist in the understanding and awareness of content across AIG.
- Deliver in accordance with and seek to optimize the existing L&D budget and technologies available today.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of demonstrated success in the development and delivery of global development/training programs and/or change management initiatives or leading projects of scale and complexity
- Strong knowledge of and respect for all aspects of the learning field (performance consulting, design, development, delivery, operational management, learning technologies, adult learning theory and methods, and flexible learning options)
- Understands challenges and capabilities required of the multi-generational learners, AIG employees
- Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization and across AIG businesses (high level of interpersonal and communications skills)
- Proven leadership and budget management skills on large complex projects (demonstrated ability to manage and organize multiple components of a book of work, simultaneously)
- Works collaboratively... develops strong relationships and demonstrates advanced team working skills...highly respected and regarded by colleagues
- Demonstrates a powerful executive presence

For positions based in NYC, the base salary range is $115,000 - 170,000. For positions based in Jersey City, the base salary range is $123,000 - $163,000 . In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
