AI Talent Hunt is hiring on behalf of its US-based partner for an experienced Manager, Proposal Operations to join a leading organization in the aerospace and defense industry.

Salary: USD $125,000 – $145,000 per year

About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Manager, Proposal Operations to lead the planning, development, and submission of complex government proposals. The ideal candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage proposal schedules, ensure compliance with RFP requirements, and deliver compelling, high-quality proposal responses within strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end proposal planning, development, and submission activities.
- Collaborate with Business Development, Capture Managers, Program Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and manage detailed proposal schedules and milestones.
- Ensure proposal teams are adequately staffed and coordinated.
- Assign and oversee proposal volume owners (Book Bosses).
- Drive the development of compliant, compelling proposal content, graphics, and formatting.
- Conduct proposal reviews and incorporate feedback throughout the proposal lifecycle.
- Develop compliance matrices and ensure adherence to all RFP requirements.
- Support post-submission customer responses and proposal follow-up activities.
- Maintain and improve proposal reference libraries, lessons learned, and reusable content.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 9 years of relevant experience, or
- Master's degree with 7 years of relevant experience, or
- 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to facility clearance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proposal management experience.
- APMP or Shipley certification.
- Strong writing, editing, and desktop publishing skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Experience in the aerospace and/or defense industry.
