Responsibilities:
- Draft, proofread, and format legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, correspondence, and motions.
- Assist attorneys with case management from initial filing through resolution.
- Handle electronic filing (e-filing) of documents in state and federal courts.
- Organize and maintain case files (both paper and electronic).
- Manage calendars, deadlines, and scheduling for court hearings and depositions.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff.
- Conduct basic legal research and assist with discovery review and production.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a law firm is strongly preferred.
- Strong familiarity with litigation procedures, including discovery, pleadings, and e-filing in both state and federal courts.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and common case management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Paralegal certificate or degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
