We’re a team of dedicated dog lovers. Our facility offers high-quality daycare, boarding, group classes, and private lessons. We’re now looking for an enthusiastic Dog Training Apprentice to join our team and grow with us!
Position Overview:
This position offers hands-on experience in both dog handling and training techniques. As an apprentice, you’ll assist with daily care routines, learn to read canine body language, and work closely with certified trainers to support a safe, engaging, and educational environment for every dog in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
> Supervise and manage playgroups while ensuring safety and positive interactions.
> Support the daily operations of the daycare and boarding including feeding, walking, cleaning, and grooming.
> Shadow trainers and assist in training sessions, observing handling and positive reinforcement techniques.
> Learn the fundamentals of positive dog training
> Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming facility.
Qualifications:
> A genuine love for dogs and interest in canine behavior and training.
> Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
> Ability to work in an active environment (you’ll get your steps in!).
> Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn new skills.
> Prior dog experience in daycare or play management
