Staff Accountant – Full Time, Camp Hill, PA
AHEDD is a private, nonprofit specialized employment services organization seeking a full‑time Staff Accountant to join our Central Office team.
This position provides essential fiscal and administrative support to the Central Office and regional field teams.
As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate and efficient financial operations that support successful service delivery to AHEDD participants and stakeholders.
This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on accounting or fiscal support experience who values accuracy, structure, and contributing to a mission‑driven organization.
Key Responsibilities include:
Fiscal & Accounting Support
Prepare and post month‑end journal entries, transactions, and account reconciliations
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare and supply documentation for requested reports
Proofread financial correspondence and documents for accuracy
Communication & Support
Respond to contractor inquiries professionally and timely
Cross‑train to provide backup support for payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
Assist with special projects and other tasks assigned by the Fiscal Director
Perform accurate data entry and basic financial computations
Assist with collection of outstanding bills and data entry for financial statements
Required Qualifications
Associate degree or higher preferred
1–3 years of experience in an accounting, finance, or fiscal support role preferred
Understanding of accounting principles with experience performing journal entries and reconciliations
Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines
Proven ability to work independently, multitask, problem‑solve, and analyze data
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Professional demeanor, including appropriate dress, speech, and conduct
Strong ethical standards, including honesty and strict confidentiality
Ability to obtain required state and federal clearances
Work Schedule
In‑person position at AHEDD’s Central Office in Camp Hill, PA
40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Compensation & Benefits
$50,000 annual starting salary
Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance available beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment
Generous paid time off accrued biweekly, plus six paid holidays per year
401(k) with employer contribution after one year of employment
