Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
• Handle janitorial tasks such as trash removal, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure optimal hygiene standards.
• Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, and other floor care machinery to maintain polished and safe flooring surfaces.
• Follow safety protocols when handling chemical agents and cleaning equipment to prevent accidents or health hazards.
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns, reporting issues promptly.
• Assist with custodial duties related to industrial cleaning or specialized projects such as residential painting or heavy-duty sanitation tasks.
• Practice safe manual handling techniques during heavy lifting or moving of supplies and equipment to prevent injury.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services with a strong understanding of sanitation procedures.
• Skilled in operating various cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and chemical sprayers.
• Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning agents.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices.
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude toward clients and team members.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or general upkeep.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety protocols meticulously while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
