GMP Cleaning Technician

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of production areas, equipment, and facilities using approved chemical agents and cleaning techniques.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following established chemical handling procedures, including proper storage, mixing, and disposal.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, and protective clothing to ensure safety during cleaning tasks.
• Follow strict GMP guidelines to maintain cleanliness standards required for food safety, pharmaceutical production, or manufacturing environments.
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual tasks associated with janitorial and industrial cleaning activities while adhering to safety protocols.
• Document all cleaning activities accurately in logs or reports, including chemical usage, areas cleaned, and any issues encountered.
• Support sanitation efforts during production shutdowns or scheduled maintenance to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Skills

• Proven experience in industrial cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial roles within manufacturing or food processing environments.
• Knowledge of chemical agent handling, sanitation procedures, and chemical safety protocols.
• Familiarity with GMP standards applicable to food safety or pharmaceutical manufacturing settings.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during cleaning tasks.
• Basic math skills for measuring chemicals accurately and recording data precisely.
• Strong understanding of respiratory protection use and other PPE requirements for safe chemical handling.
• Excellent adherence to safety protocols with a focus on chemical handling safety procedures and workplace hygiene standards.
