Ahead of the Pack Grooming is a well-established, high-end pet grooming salon on Kings Highway in Haddonfield, NJ — with over 15 years serving our community’s most beloved dogs and cats. Our team includes specialists in creative and exotic grooming, and we take pride in a calm, professional environment where talented groomers can do their best work. Clients keep coming back year after year, and we’re looking for someone who takes the same pride in their craft that we do.
What You’ll Do
- Provide full-service grooming for dogs and/or cats, including baths, cuts, styling, nail trims, and finishing
- Execute breed-standard and custom haircuts with precision and care
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized grooming station
- Communicate with clients about their pet’s coat condition, behavior, and grooming needs
- Build and maintain a loyal clientele in a high-retention salon environment
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of professional pet grooming experience
- Proficiency in scissor and clipper work across a variety of breeds
- Gentle, confident handling — especially with anxious or senior pets
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and strong client communication skills
- Professional certification (IPG, NCMG, or equivalent) is a plus but not required

Schedule Details
We are open Tuesday through Saturday. You will work 3 to 4 days per week — specific days are flexible and can be discussed during the interview. Hours are daytime (approximately 8am–5pm) with some flexibility based on client load and mutual availability.
