We are seeking an individual to assist the accounting team and help build the financial infrastructure that will support the company’s next stage of growth.

Role Mission

This person will serve as the company’s primary accounting expert, ensuring financial accuracy while strengthening accounting workflows and systems. You will work closely with the CFO and CEO to build scalable accounting infrastructure that supports continued growth.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical accounting expertise and deep experience operating within ERP systems such as NetSuite.

Systems Environment

Our financial and operational systems include:

• NetSuite ERP for accounting and financial reporting
• Ecommerce platforms supporting online sales
• Inventory and fulfillment systems connected to warehouse operations
• Operational data flowing from logistics, fulfillment, and inventory management

This position will play a key role in ensuring these systems produce accurate financial data and support strong accounting discipline as the company scales.

Core Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly financial statements and reporting packages
• Provide leadership with clear financial visibility across the business
• Identify trends, risks, and areas requiring attention

Systems and Process Improvement

• Improve accounting workflows and operational consistency
• Establish scalable internal controls that reduce errors and support growth
• Operate deeply within NetSuite, optimizing the system for financial accuracy and reporting
• Maintain organized, audit-ready financial records

Key Outcomes in the First 12 Months

Success in this role means delivering:

• Month-end close consistently completed within 10 business days
• Reliable financial reporting across P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
• Documented and scalable accounting workflows
• NetSuite optimized for accounting accuracy and reporting
• Clear financial visibility and accountability across the organization

Experience and Qualifications

• Strong technical accounting expertise and understanding of financial statements
• Advanced experience working within ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred)
• Experience owning core accounting execution in a growing business
• Background in operational environments with meaningful transaction volume (ecommerce, distribution, CPG, or similar preferred)
• Experience improving accounting systems and processes rather than simply maintaining them
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with operational leadership

What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days

Within the first 90 days, the right candidate will:

• Understand current accounting workflows and systems
• Identify weaknesses in the close process, reconciliations, and reporting
• Improve discipline in the month-end close process
• Strengthen financial visibility for leadership
• Become highly effective operating inside NetSuite

This Role Is Not a Fit If

• You prefer maintaining existing systems rather than improving them
• You struggle with detail, reconciliations, or financial accuracy
• You prefer theoretical finance over operational accounting
• You are uncomfortable operating inside ERP systems such as NetSuite
