AGY Transport LLC is actively seeking experienced CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) drivers to join our expanding fleet. This role offers an exciting opportunity for dedicated drivers to showcase their skills in various types of freight transportation as we do run a mixed fleet of 18 wheelers and one tons. Duties
- Operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across diverse routes, adhering to all safety and traffic regulations
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption and minimizing delays
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate pickups and deliveries
Skills
- Proven experience operating commercial trucks with manual transmissions in diverse freight environments
- Knowledge of STRAPPING IS A MUST!
- Strong driving skills with a focus on safety, load securement, and route planning
- Familiarity with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and compliance standards for commercial driving
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines consistently
- Physical ability to perform vehicle inspections and handle cargo loading tasks effectively
