Engineer Senior

ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Engineer Senior with a pharmaceutical company. This is a 18 month contract opportunity with our client located in New Albany, OH. This position requires on-site support and flexibility for swing shifts (day/night/weekend).


Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site support for GMP packaging and device assembly operations
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and improve reliability and performance
• Support automated and semi-automated assembly lines and monitor performance metrics
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase throughput and efficiency
• Write, review, and manage GMP documents such as protocols, reports, and procedures
• Own and manage deviations, CAPAs, and change controls
• Lead or support commissioning, qualification, and validation (CQV) activities
• Support technical transfer of products into the Ohio site
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and external vendors

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of GMP experience OR equivalent experience (Master's with 2 years, Associate's with 8 years, or High School/GED with 10 years)
• Strong hands-on experience in GMP-regulated environments
• Direct experience with packaging and/or device assembly equipment (automated or semi-automated), including commissioning, qualification, and validation (CQV)
• Proven ability to author and manage GMP documents (protocols, reports, validation documents)
• Experience with ownership of deviations, CAPAs, and change controls
• Ability to analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to drive efficiency and performance improvements
• Must be able to travel internationally (~10%)

Desired skills:

• Experience with document management systems such as KNEAT or Veeva
• Combination product assembly equipment expertise
• Cross-functional project leadership experience
• Direct experience in devices, combination products, and packaging operations
• Supplier management experience with FDP equipment vendors
• Operational excellence or continuous improvement mindset

Pay range: Up to $46.45 per Hour
