JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Responsible for providing direct clinical therapy services to Tribal Members and/or their families. This may include: individual/ family/ couples counseling; child/ play therapy; substance abuse counseling/ recovery/ support/ referral; crisis response; facilitating group classes; and case management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
- Provide individual, couples and or family therapy using evidence-based practices.
- Provide clinical intakes, assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and case management of clinical cases.
- Work with multidisciplinary team in Tribal Family Services to ensure highest quality of care.
- Act as liaison with outside service providers to access additional services/resources as needed.
- Maintain appropriate clinical documentation in a timely manner.
- Develop and support strategic relationships within the community that support client services needs and interests.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Masters degree in Clinical Counseling or Behavioral Sciences.
- California licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) required.
- Experience in providing trauma-informed therapy, with specialized trauma-modality certifications preferred.
- Alcohol and drug counseling certification/experience preferred
- Experience working with Native American populations preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ miles, climbing, stairs and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift.
Typically, the individual will be housed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and /or carry otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
