Pay Rate: $22.00 - $28.00/hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8-hour day shifts, some weekends and overtime may be required

Location: In-person, Batavia, IL 60510

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of molding equipment, auxiliary machinery, and facility systems. This role requires proactive, hands-on professional capable of diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment and facility systems
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose equipment failures and determine effective repair or replacement solutions
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, quality, and cost reduction
• Assist with specification, installation, startup and commissioning of new equipment
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all maintenance activities according with company quality standards
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supervisory staff to prioritize maintenance needs
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain tools, spare parts inventory, and work areas in clean and organized manner
• Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development to stay current with equipment and best practices

Qualifications

Required

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Minimum 3 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience

· Spanish language proficiency

· Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment

· Strong communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills

· High attention to detail and commitment to safety

· Reliable attendance and ability to work independently or as part of a team

· Ability to commute to Batavia, IL

Preferred

· 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or injection molding environment

· Familiarity with plastic processing equipment and support systems

· Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

· Basic computer proficiency (email, work orders, documentation)
