POSITION SCOPE:
The position involves the ability to demonstrate knowledge of general accounting principles and practices, administrative functions and clerical procedures necessary for the job. The position also involves working in an organized manner, growth, good record keeping skills, good people skills and good customer relationship skills, to enhance AG RX position in its marketing areas.
SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Accounting Manager and Branch Manager, the Accounting Clerk will perform general receptionist, clerical and accounting tasks by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Responsible for providing excellent Customer Service experience by answering all incoming telephone calls, forwarding of calls to appropriate personnel or department, welcoming on-site visitors and providing informational support when needed
· Processes application work orders - close recommendations in Agrian and generatedelivery tickets for billing
· Provides recommendation support to PCA’s and entering requisitions into Agrian.
· Receives, maintains, and distributes water sample results.
· Creates ad-hoc Sales reports as requested by Branch Manager.
· Performs billing functions as requested for support/back-up
· Performs customer service functions as requested for support/back-up
· Performs accounting tasks, including invoicing and budget/expenditure track/fertilizer receiving
· Files, emails, manages in-coming / out-going mail and prepares documents as requested
· Record-keeping of all documents
· Receives, manages, and processes company sensitive documents, such as intercompany transfers, insurance, and DMV registration/vehicle maintenance to ensure compliance
· Provides administrative support and contributes to team effort
· Manages the ordering and inventory of office and janitorial supplies
· Schedules meetings, travel arrangements, and/or lunches, as requested
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Education – High school diploma or general education development (GED) certificate of completion.
Experience – Three plus years’ experience in accounting field required; AA in Accounting preferred with required 3 years’ experience in accounting field. General office and accounting experience in agriculture field preferred.
Language Skills – Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and/or written communication skills; bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute ratios, rates, and percent.
Organizational Skills – Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently. Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work quality.
Judgement and Decision Making – A commitment to ethical behavior and company core values.
Employee Relations Skills – Must adept at problem solving, including being able to identify issues and address problems in a timely manner.
