We have a great opportunity for a People & Culture Generalist / Representative to join our team! . This position is located on-site at our Cabot Campus. In beautiful Cabot, Vermont.
What you'll be doing:
- Administer various People and Culture plans and procedures for worksite personnel.
- Conduct recruitment efforts for assigned positions coordinating with internal and external resources as required.
- Conduct new-employee orientations and onboarding.
- Process required portions of employee payroll.
- Coach and advise leaders and employees with employee relations matters.
- Monitor the performance evaluation cycle and ensure they are done in a timely manner.
- Interpret and explain company policies and procedures for leaders and employees.
- Provide information on company benefits to candidates for employment and existing employees.
- Research and make recommendations regarding a variety of P&C matters to their leader.
- Maintain worksite compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
- Assist with workers’ compensation matters including liaising with the insurance carrier, employee, providers and with return to work details.
- Learn about business operations to become a valued business partner.
- Draft and develop job descriptions.
- Promote and champion the company’s values in the workplace.
- Maintain employee personnel files.
- Assist with the delivery of various training programs.
- Assist other locations with P&C matters as needed.
- Conduct work with integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness, confidentiality, professionalism, and diligence.
- All other duties as assigned.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal/written) skills are essential.
- Ability to present information in one-on-one and/or larger group situations.
- Analytical skills to identify root causes and resolve situations and problems with viable solutions.
- The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with demonstrated skill in organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications.
- The ability to stay calm under pressure.
- The ability to handle delicate personal matters in a professional, confidential, and caring manner.
- The ability to read, comprehend and apply the principles from technical material, policies, and/or manuals.
- A degree in a related field of study preferred, with 3-5 years related Human Resources Generalist experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Minimum Qualifications: Generalist
- Two (2) years of relevant People & Culture experience at a P&C Generalist level required.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, communication (verbal and written) and organization skills. Must be an effective team player.
- Computer skills, to include but not limited to, the Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
- A high degree of integrity, ethics, and judgment.
Minimum Qualifications: Representative
- Self-starter with ability to interact well with employees at all levels within the company as well as outside entities.
- Ability to stay professional under pressure, and able to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with demonstrated skill in organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications.
- A high degree of integrity, ethics, and judgment required.
Salary range dependent on level in which candidate is hired. People and Culture Representative Range: $55,000-$65,000. People and Culture Generalist Range: $60,000-$70,000.
