About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and mission-driven leader who cares deeply about transforming healthcare through data interoperability. This role will support the Director in managing healthcare data-sharing initiatives, developing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and regulations. The ideal individual has strong experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR), interoperability frameworks such as FHIR and HL7, and is exceptional at stakeholder and vendor management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Director in strategic planning, operational execution, and project governance for data-sharing programs.
- Lead vendor and partner management activities contracts, performance monitoring, onboarding, and relationship development.
- Collaborate with data-sharing partners including EHR vendors, healthcare providers, payers, and technology partners.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, HITRUST, applicable regional data privacy regulations).
- Drive implementation and adoption of interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7, CCD, APIs, and integration workflows.
- Oversee data quality, data exchange processes, and troubleshooting in collaboration with engineering and product teams.
- Mentor and guide internal team members fostering learning, collaboration, and growth.
- Continuously track industry trends and regulatory changes in healthcare interoperability.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in healthcare IT, interoperability, or similar domain (Manager level: 5 years).
- Strong knowledge of EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.) and interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7).
- Proven experience working with data-sharing agreements, vendor relationships, and partnership management.
- Hands-on familiarity with healthcare compliance practices (e.g., HIPAA).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability mentoring teams and influencing cross-functional partners.
- Passion for improving healthcare outcomes through data and technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with clinical workflows and healthcare data architecture.
- Certifications such as HL7, FHIR Pro, PMP, or compliance/security credentials.
- Understanding of data integration tools, APIs, and healthcare interoperability frameworks.
- Prior experience in a startup or fast-growing healthcare technology environment.
