Title: Shipping Coordinator

Agrecol is a Wisconsin nursery that grows and provides native seed and plants to local and regional conservation agencies, non-profit organizations, nurseries, and landscapers.
As the Shipping Coordinator for Agrecol, you would be responsible for overseeing the daily warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping and receiving activities, and order fulfillment. This role ensures products and materials are accurately received, stored, tracked, and shipped while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment. The coordinator works closely with vendors, carriers, customers, and internal teams to support operational goals and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, deliveries, and pickups.
· Receive, inspect, and process incoming inventory and materials.
· Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular inventory counts.
· Pick, pack, load, and ship customer orders accurately and on schedule.
· Verify shipment accuracy by checking products and quantities against orders.
· Organize and maintain warehouse inventory, materials, and storage areas.
· Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
· Prepare shipping documents, inventory reports, and receiving records.
· Communicate with vendors, carriers, customers, sales, and purchasing teams regarding inventory and shipments.
· Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and fulfillment issues.
· Monitor warehouse supplies, equipment, and maintenance needs.
· Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance warehouse and shipping efficiency.
· Assist with training warehouse staff and promoting safe work practices.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
· Provide professional and timely support to customers and coworkers.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· High School Diploma or Equivalent
· Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license
· Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (forklift certification preferred).
· 2 years of experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory control, or logistics operations.
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate inventory and shipping records.
· Ability to verify orders, shipping documents, and inventory transactions accurately.
· Effective organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively with vendors, carriers, customers, and internal teams.
· Basic math skills for inventory tracking, counting, and recordkeeping.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and accuracy.
· Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Essential Physical Requirements
· Must be able to maintain a high level of frequency in other physical activities such as reaching, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and crouching.
· Must be able to lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
· Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
Environmental Factors
· This position may require indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including extremes of heat, cold, and humidity, depending on the season and work location.
· The position involves exposure to moderate levels of dust, dirt, fumes, noise, and vibrations commonly found in warehouses, shipping, and production environments.
· The incumbent may be required to work in loading docks, storage facilities, and outdoor areas while receiving, storing, and shipping materials.
· Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when performing certain job duties to ensure a safe work environment.
