Field Service Technician

AGRA Industries is a family owned company that has been in the Merrill, WI community since 1962. We offer design, fabrication, equipment supply, and construction to the feed, seed, grain, ethanol and biofuels industries worldwide. At AGRA Industries we pride ourselves in providing an innovative, challenging and safe work experience. Currently we are looking for a Field Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. This position travels to job sites throughout the country, primarily the Midwest to maintain equipment for our customers.

What are we looking for?
This position performs a wide variety of highly skilled maintenance work to maintain structures, electrical systems, machine repair, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc. Work requires in-depth electrical knowledge. May assign, instruct and lay out work for other technicians. Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, machines, and equipment, and fabricating metal parts and tools by performing the following, prescribed duties:

• This is an on call position. Must be available to travel to job sites on short notice.
• Performs electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
• Diagnoses malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Dismantles, assembles, and installs industrial machinery.
• Assists supervisor with requisitions and keeping supply of spare parts.
• Follows company policies and safety regulations.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts.
• Startup and commission of new equipment.
• Works primarily in the seed, feed and bio fuel industries.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school education preferred. Two years of applicable experience is preferred. AGRA is willing to train the right candidate.
