Can start this fall with landscaping or work for only snow storms. Possible full time position for next landscape season available. Pay based on experience and references.

In this role, you will proactively clear snow and ice from walkways, driveways, parking lots, and other outdoor areas to ensure safety and accessibility for all.

Duties

• Operate snow removal equipment such as plows, blowers, shovels, and salt spreaders to clear snow and ice from designated outdoor areas
• Assess weather conditions regularly to determine the most effective snow removal strategies and timing
• Apply de-icing materials safely to prevent ice formation on walkways, stairs, and parking lots
• Perform routine inspections of outdoor spaces to identify potential hazards caused by snow or ice accumulation
• Maintain and troubleshoot groundskeeping tools and power equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Follow safety protocols diligently during all snow removal activities to prevent accidents or injuries
• Assist with general grounds maintenance tasks such as landscaping or irrigation system checks when weather permits

Skills

• Mechanical knowledge for operating and maintaining snow removal machinery and power tools
• Experience with outdoor work environment
• Excellent attention to detail in ground inspection, snow clearing accuracy, and hazard identification
• Physical stamina for prolonged outdoor activity in winter conditions including lifting, shoveling, bending, and walking over uneven terrain

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
