Agilix Solutions is seeking an Account Manager to support our Automation vertical. The Industrial Automation Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic business partners by promoting, positioning, and selling the company’s automation and electrical supply portfolios—including PLCs, HMIs, drives, sensors, motion control, and related technologies. Strong product knowledge of complementary electrical supply products is also preferred.
This role focuses on expanding business within an assigned account package, increasing market share, and generating strong end‑user demand. The Account Manager collaborates closely with automation and electrical supply manufacturers to deliver value‑based solutions to OEMs, system integrators, and end users. Key responsibilities include identifying opportunities, developing solutions, and achieving territory sales objectives.
This role will report to the Vice President of the East Region.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining and growing business at existing accounts in the St. Louis Metro area.
- Be a single source solutions provider to our customer base by expanding knowledge of Agilix products and offerings.
- Ongoing maintenance of accounts will include negotiating, monitoring, and updating pricing with manufacturers to maintain profitability.
- Account package growth will be required through additional sales at existing accounts as well as establishing new account opportunities.
- Establishing and growing business relationships within all levels of the assigned account package to promote all Agilix Solution divisions.
- Maintaining CRM content to include an accurate pipeline, an accurate contact database with routine updates.
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of fundamental Automation products, including industrial controls, PLC’s, I/O, variable frequency drives (VFD’s), as well as Electrical Supply Products.
- Ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of demonstrated successful selling in the Industrial Automation or Electrical Market.
- Must possess great abstract reasoning skills, and the ability to adapt to customer needs.
- Must possess the discipline to work autonomously through complex situations.
- 4 year degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering, or electrical experience in an industrial environment.
Physical Requirements
- Requires prolonged periods of driving, getting in and out of a vehicle multiple times a day, standing/walking at customer sites, as well as sitting at a desk.
- Must be able to lift up to 5-10 pounds at times.
