Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Hardware Engineer (CMD / Plastics Focus) to support a Fortune‑level technology company based in Redmond, WA. This role partners closely with Hardware Design Engineering, Color & Material Design (CMD), Manufacturing, and supplier teams to support the development, validation, and manufacturing readiness of high‑quality hardware products.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in plastics, resin coordination, and product design, and can operate independently while collaborating cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced hardware development environment. This is a fully onsite role and offers the opportunity to contribute directly to impactful hardware initiatives.
Role Details
- Location: Fully onsite – Redmond, WA
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Design and Engineering teams on PSCS documentation and CMD coordination of resins and materials
- Support hardware design engineering efforts across research, design, development, testing, and validation phases
- Apply Color and Material Design expertise to plastics and product design challenges
- Analyze technical requirements to determine hardware layouts, configurations, and necessary equipment modifications
- Assemble, modify, build, and test hardware equipment or prototypes to meet specific product needs
- Evaluate cost constraints, reporting requirements, and security considerations to determine optimal hardware configurations
- Monitor equipment performance and implement modifications to ensure compliance with design specifications
- Work cross‑functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and supplier partners to support manufacturing readiness
The ideal candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
- 5–7 years of experience in hardware engineering or related fields
- Strong background in Color and Material Design, with deep knowledge of plastics and resin selection
- Experience supporting product design and hardware development initiatives
- Prior experience at Microsoft or a comparable large‑scale technology company preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, design, manufacturing, and supplier teams
- Comfortable working independently with minimal ramp‑up time
- Solid understanding of engineering design tools, blueprints, drawings, and technical models
- Working knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware/software
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, verbal, and written communication skills
- Detail‑oriented, team‑focused, and adaptable in a fast‑paced environment
